For films to participate in the Egypt Youth Film Competition, all of the following criteria must be met:

 1- The age of the contestant ranges between 16 to 30 years.

 2- The film will be produced in the year 2024

 3- The film must not have previously participated in any festival within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
   Or any cinematic or artistic forum open to the general public
 Exceptions are made only for discussions of graduation projects in colleges and specialized institutes.

 4- It must not have been shown on any television or on social media networks. If any of these conditions are proven to be violated, the film will be excluded even if it is accepted for the competition and placed within the screening program.
 
 5- The film’s running time does not exceed thirty minutes, including the ending sequence
 
 6- It is required to submit an acknowledgment to the competition administration that the contestant pledges that he owns the film and has the necessary rights and authorization from all the work team to participate and display within the competition or any materials or characters that were used and appeared in the film.

 7- Once the film is selected for the competition, it cannot be withdrawn from the competition program while it is in session by the contestant.

 8- The makers of films selected to be part of the official selection of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries. Egypt Youth Film Competition agree to all types of publicity. Furthermore, when announcing the awards, the award winners agree to use the exact wording of the awards.

 9- The copy of the film must be downloaded directly during the process of registering festival subscription data on the website of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries.

 10- If the film is accepted, the contestant will be contacted before the press conference of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries to send all the necessary information regarding the film version, whether it is (dcp) or (mp4).

 11- Participation in the competition is open to anyone who:
 - Students of universities and institutes in all their faculties and specializations
 - School students, so that the participating student is not less than 16 years old
 - Independent filmmakers, who must be of Egyptian nationality and are allowed to have production partnerships with international bodies or filmmakers of foreign nationalities, taking into account that their films are not affiliated with any university or institute, and that approval must be provided for this.
 - Youth Centers, Ministry of Youth and Sports.
 - Companies - bodies - civil society organizations - Egyptian institutions. Partnerships with international bodies or filmmakers of foreign nationalities are permitted.
