The Alexandria Film Festival of the Mediterranean States, organized by the Egyptian Association of Bookwriters and Critics of Cinema under the patronage of the film critic Prince Abaza at its thirty-fourth session held from October 5 to 10  2024, will hold the fifth edition of the Mamdouh Al-Leithi competition for long feature films. Al-Leithi has received financial prizes of 30 thousand pounds presented by the great media Dr. Amr Al-Leithi.

First item
The competition aims to promote the new script writers of young people in Egypt, and aims to strengthen the relationship between the young creators and the film center in Egypt

The second item
The contest results will be announced at the opening ceremony of the festival, in the presence of the winners of the festival awards.

Third item
Participation in the competition is limited to young Egyptian contestants according to the following conditions:

Judgement comity :
The festival administration is the sole committee for judging this competition among the filmmakers, critics, writers and intellectuals. The festival will determine the president of this committee, which organizes the work and the method of determining the prizes and arranging them in a democratic and impartial manner.
