Article (1)
The Alexandria Film Festival of the Mediterranean States is an annual event held in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. It aims to spread the cinematic culture, learn about the progress made by the various branches of cinema, and to establish relations between filmmakers in different parts of the world in general, Especially average

Article (2)
The festival is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Governorate of Alexandria in the Arab Republic of Egypt

Article (3)
The thirty-fourth session of the festival will be held from October 5  to 10  2024

The festival includes the following activities and programs:

Competitions (Official Section)
First: the official competition of the long films of the Mediterranean countries
the conditions :
The films participating in this competition, produced by one of the Mediterranean countries, must be wholly or partly produced
Participating films must not have been commercially exhibited in Egypt or participated in a festival in the city of the festival.
The films should be translated into English or French, if not spoken
Be produced from the current or previous year
One or more films may be shared by one state
The film must be at least 60 minutes long

Second: The official competition for short films of the Mediterranean countries
the conditions :
The films participating in this competition must be produced by one of the Mediterranean countries, in whole or in part.
Participating films must not have been commercially displayed in Egypt or participated in a festival in the city of the festival
The films should be translated into English or French, if not spoken
Be produced from the current or previous year.
The presentation time should not exceed 30 minutes

The films participating in this competition must be produced entirely or in part by the Arab countries.
Participating films must not have been commercially displayed in Egypt or participated in a festival in the city of the festival

This event is limited to the participation of distinguished films from the Mediterranean countries and may have already participated or won prizes in international festivals.

Special Sections
This event includes film shows that belong to one festival that is held under the theme of the course annually.

Article (5)
First: The jury of the international competition
This committee consists of prominent figures in the field of cinema at the global level
The committee consists of seven members, including its president, and may include two members from Egypt, the organizing state of the festival.
The selection of members of the Committee shall be the sole right of management of the Festival
No member associated with the films participating in the competition should participate in this committee
Second: Arbitration committees of other competitions
The management of the festival shall determine the number of members of each of the arbitration committees of the other competitions in the festival and shall have the right to choose the members of these committees.

Article (6)
General conditions for participation in the sections of the festival
The festival accepts films according to the original offer version DCP or BLUE RAY
The film must be accompanied by an English translation, if not a speech.
Participate in the festival by filling out the form with full data
A DVD copy of the film with promotional material, shown in the following section, is sent with the application form
The application for participation, the copy of the film and the promotional material shall be sent to the secretary of the festival no later than 31 July 2018
Article (7)
Advertising materials
Advertising materials for the film include:

English film summary
Information about the director of the film and the most important artists and technicians participating in it.
Press or promotional brochure for the film
Images of the press as an electronic version on CD
Images of the entrance of the 20 x 25 cm theaters
Stickers size 70 X 100 cm.
TV excerpts of 3 minutes max
Article (8)
The films participating in the various sections of the festival are chosen by committees for viewing and selection, formed by the festival management, critics and filmmakers.

Article (9)
Alexandria or any of the Egyptian or foreign associations may award prizes or certificates of appreciation for the films of the festival in accordance with their own vision. Local or foreign companies or companies may also be awarded prizes for any of the films of the festival.

Article (10)
It is not permitted to withdraw any film from the festival program during its period or to display it outside the venues of the festival

Article (11)
The films are sent to the secretariat of the festival at the expense of the participant and returned to him by air freight at the expense of the festival within fifteen days from the end of the festival.

Article (12)
The festival provides a copy of the film since its arrival at Cairo International Airport and until it is sent back to its owners.
